I have been in Bali for the last two months… it’s wonderful to be in such a nurturing environment….

It soothes the soul and reconnects the human spirit to the natural world.

I feel so blessed to be here and to feel the healing power of the earth… here in this spot, by the river, looking down to the sea.

When you arrive in Bali as a stranger you will be surprised how warm, happy and welcoming the people are…

They are genuinely loving and inclusive… how can this be so…. after centuries of slavery and mistreatment, by their own Maharajah’s, the Dutch plantation owners, the Japanese invaders and now the abusive Multi National Corporations?

I believe it’s because the Balinese have a secret.

As a culture (not Indonesia) the Balinese are truly the last Magicians on earth working in the old ways….

This is why we understand each other…. this is why it is such a healing environment for me…

Do you remember the Bali Bomb Attack?

One year, one month and one day after 9/11…. Manufactured by the same force as 9/11 for the same purpose…. to get the troops to Iraq… to protect the oil owned by some very greedy irresponsible individuals called corporations who have the power through control of the media to command governments…

After that bomb which killed 220 people and engaged 88 countries in a huge international interconnected healing process….

The Balinese Priests found in their ancient records a prophesy, about  just such a catastrophic event and a clear list of instructions for the priests on how to ‘space clear’ and ‘restart and heal the heart’ of the island!

It was transcribed six hundred years earlier, from a vision by a priestess while praying in the Temple high up on Batu Karo, the nearest volcanic mountain to the retreat center.

Yes that’s right! Bali is truly a land of organic magic.

The priests of the old land based religion found the instructions for the ceremonies to be performed to restart the heart of the island…

Everyone joined in….. for months large groups of men clad in black shirts and a black and white checked sarongs (the black and white checked sarongs representing the integration of the dark and the light,)  walked the back streets of villages with big wooden bells on their chests, holding them with both hands, in unison they would shake the bell and make the sound of an enormous heart beat that traveled out over the land through the villages, the rice fields, the coconut plantations and down through the rivers onto the beaches….

The sound seemed to reactivate all parts of the island….

It was a truly thrilling experience, to be in the midst of such single minded devotion to the energetic health of mother earth, ‘Dewi Sri’ in Balinese.

As an active alchemist and ritual magician I was fascinated by the highly organized ceremonies prepared and carried out in a rolling fashion across the island… by a cultural system dedicated to the energetic health of their land and the inner health and harmony of their people.  Such love and devotion with no promotion or advertising or resistance was amazing to watch…..

How do the people of Bali stay so calm and so clearly happy despite being enslaved and abused in all manner of ways for centuries?

There are perhaps a variety of answers to this question….

One of their secrets,  is they have developed annual space clearing rituals as a context for whole communities to express their creativity coupled with rage and fear appropriately… rather than in petty ways, against each other and more importantly they wisely created ‘time’ to integrate the outcome…. A change in frequency… How amazing is that!?

The time of year they chose to perform this profound social ritual for peace by expressing creative rage aligns with Easter in the Christian experience, the Passover for the Jewish community, it includes the ideas of the Wicker Man and in more recent times the modern American Mystics of ‘Burning Man’…. in US underground culture.

The rule is … if you don’t let loose once a year, your negative energy will overcome you and disturb the harmony of the village…
Now we all know that’s true!

I have been thinking about this for a while and now I am going to do something about it!

I’m going to stop trying so hard and relax, play, dance, sing and swim in the sacred dance of ceremonial life in Bali for ten days….

We get to build two giant size bamboo puppets from all local materials. They are known as ‘The Ogoh Ogoh’ (literal translation ‘more than one Ogre’). The night of the burning…. On the river beach…. We get to scream and rage with the village and set them on fire…..

By the end of the “Night of Fires”, ‘The Ogoh Ogoh’ have finished their important work… they are a cosmic sponge for all forms of evil, all forms of disharmony in the body, mind and spirit of communities and the individuals.

Life is an amazing dance…
And like all good dance, there is structure; but what makes it so special and different and your own, is the level and quality of personal  improvisation within the form.

Twenty years ago I arrived in Bali to start living my vision… to make jewelry to empower the ‘light workers’ of the world.

I have struggled from the beginning…
I have had no training in this life, how to run a business… I have never been to school to find out how you are supposed to do this ‘properly’!  In the long run I feel this was of benefit to me.

Under these circumstances… because I had no ‘box’, I was expecting everyone else to fit into, I was open to new thought and new ways of doing things.
Since my arrival in 1988, I have been creative in all my endeavors.

The company of over 100 souls, runs itself because I have built it on the model of Social Business.

This means, my aim is to empower people; educate and encourage creativity and responsibility within the group and always remember it’s about the quality of our life, not the state of our profit margin.

I have never laid people off in times of crisis… and there have been many!
I have lived through the ousting of Suharto (A dictator for 42 years), the financial crisis that devalued the currency overnight and had us all in a spin, the election and consequent riots of the first new leader since Suharto…

I have married, given birth and divorced since I have been here… and more recently there was the bomb the year after 9-11-01 and the recent bomb in Jakarta… all acts of powerless men craving attention for their cause…

What have I learned in thinking about the last twenty years?

I love my family.
My children and my family of Talismans of Power.
I feel honored and blessed to have been a part of their life for so long.

I know they love me as unconditionally as I do them; we are blessed to be in the dance together.
I believe this is the energy that shines through all our work together and why the value of what we produce will continue to grow in the future.

This knowledge keeps me healthy and emotionally balanced where ever I am in the world… to know I am loved… and will be protected against the dark night should that moment arrive.

To go to sleep at night, knowing we are still a family of light despite the dark times surrounding us… keeps a smile on my face.

Despite the current challenges, all the gang are smiling. As we were preparing for the party, we were completing the prayers for Saraswati, the Goddess of Beauty, music, wisdom and jewels…. it was her sacred day and all my staff and I spent the morning praying in the garden by the temple… it was a sublime experience and reminds me of why I came here and why I will never give up and run away…

This is an important part of my personal commitment to my extended family in the third world. Their safety, joy and evolution is just as important to me as my own or those of others in more salubrious locations.

Life is a brilliant adventure… and for those whose hearts hear the music, the tickets are free for the dance…

Yes it’s true…
Today is my birthday… I am 58 years old today.
Where did the time go? I still feel like a spring chicken, despite five kids and nearly six grand kids and a few international companies!

I arrived in Bali 21 years ago to start a new life; it has been a roller coaster, of constant challenge, that built strong internal certainty of who I am and what I am here to do…
Somehow it appears, despite all the convolutions we have survived and prospered … to some extent….

It is, never the less, a hard day.

I am swinging between tears and laughter on a moment to moment basis.

As my wise mother used to say… “Wherever you go… there you are!”
So if there is anything I would like to share with you from my experience it’s this… love yourself along the way. Don’t wait for someone else to tell you that you are worthy, or have made it!

Love yourself along the journey…
Down every side track and dark alley it takes you on…
Love yourself when you fail,
Love yourself when you are scared,
Love yourself when you feel no one else does…
Do not make success conditional upon your feeling of loveability…
No one else is as invested in your success as you.
One of the most important lessons this journey has brought me is to keep the faith!
Keep the faith in your own mission.
Keep the faith in who you are at your core,
Keep the faith that you are beloved of God and indeed, deserve the best.

Why do I say this?

Because this is the hardest thing to do along the journey…
You will always eventually find the money to pay your bills.
You will eventually resolve your differences with others and follow the cultural patterns of social behavior into old age… but if you lose faith in yourself along the way…. that is true bankruptcy!

There is no pill for that!
There is no solution… this is the fertile ground for annihilation!
People choose different poisons but all for the same effect… self destruction, because they believe in their own worthlessness!

Keeping the faith in yourself, in tact and sacred is your primary mission when the proverbial sh.t hits the fan… with no faith, all else goes to rack and ruin…

My blessing to you all today is to remember once again, you are the beloved of the Divine Mother of All Creation and she loves each of us absolutely and completely, because we are her children of the light!

That’s why I make my jewelry, to remind people of ‘the light’ within them.
To remind everyone who has the power to wear my jewels of just who they are and how special their role is in the future of our world…

I wear my Talisman of Power pieces to remind me to hold my faith in my true purpose, which is to love and be loved…

To do the best I can with what I have, and remember, to celebrate each moment as if it was my last… the joy is in the journey, not the destination…

I am living in joy, genuinely happy….

This should not be so, I should be panicking,
I should be in fear of failure, but rather, I am in a kind of ecstasy…

When I examine my situation more closely I realize the difference in my emotional body is the ‘co’…. (that means) ‘together’.

Like most people,
I’ve been lonely in a crowd all my life…
Worried about what others think of me …
Have I worked hard enough?
Have I given enough?

Have I said the right thing to get approval… to feel like I belong?

Now everything is different, I have evolved through experience and disaster.
I have no doubt as to my purpose and my source of joy.

I feel loved and supported by my friends and neighbors as a human being.
I feel loved by the Divine on every level, and I know now, there is absolutely nothing I have to prove to anyone about anything ever again!

THAT my friend…is real freedom!

I am doing my best.
I believe in myself and my mission…
I am ready and willing to experience more joy, more freedom and more abundance.
I share all that I am with no hesitation, in service to the earth and her children… my children…
My family.
Of humanity…
Your family… Our family…
I am ready to allow others to be as competitive as they wish without engaging in the dance…
Let them be…

I am ready to live in joy and let the good times roll!

The ‘good times’ don’t have much to do with money, nor anything physical, ‘the good times’ are inside you, just open the door…

Because it’s now or never!

Let’s give up competition and take up cooperation… on a global scale.
Let’s give up criticism and take up unconditional love of ourselves and each other.

Why not?

There is only one person worth competing against and that’s yourself!
As the ‘Desiderata’ says,

“there will always be those higher and those lower, those more successful and those less successful than yourself… so don’t fret… relax!”

Ultimately it is about context…
You can reign in hell or serve in heaven, it’s up to you and your choice of activities and venue.

I have recognized in myself recently a new frequency of ‘Being’.
I am a very competitive soul…
I have always been proactive and enthusiastic for success at every level.

The shift has occurred at a profoundly deep level.
I have come to realize I am genuinely happy!

In terms of competitiveness, I am so happy,
I feel as if I have won the biggest prize available!
Not because of a person, business or relationship, but because I have found this place inside myself that is absolutely content.

I feel as if I have already won, so now there is nothing left to do but help everyone else!

All my past competitiveness is somehow transformed into a new vehicle of experience.
All my creativity is enthusiastically focused on how to help other people and survive the coming world challenges with Grace.

This is not because I suddenly have more money; on the contrary, like everyone else today, my cash flow has dried up to a large extent…

I have to recreate myself and my business in order to survive.
Like the world around me,
I am in a state of upheaval and challenged at every level, however I can also say…
despite all this,
I am ecstatically happy and even content!

This is not because I feel loved and accepted by a human beloved… on the contrary, I haven’t been so alone in my whole life; since the disgraceful way my last marriage dissolved, I feel no need to go there again in the near future…

So what’s happening?

I feel filled up with ‘The Holy Spirit’…
I feel as if I am dancing with Krishna…

I have found that ‘frequency of being’ inside myself…
the place that is:

Joyful in the face of chaos…
Trusting in the face of universal deception…
Inspired in a context of fear and…
Enthusiastic in the face of hopelessness…

I must be crazy!

Or… coming into alignment with the ascension process… surrendering my need for applause from the gallery and giving up all sense of competitiveness…
Now is the time for co operation, co-creation and co-mmunity…

The ‘co’… means ‘together’… we will not survive into the future if we act alone… we must work together for the benefit of all… not for our nuclear family or our little local clubs, not for the survival of our country, our religion or our race… but for the survival of our PLANET!

It’s one of the seven deadly sins for a very good reason!

Greed kills joy and prevents us from experiencing true unconditional love! Now that… IS really deadly!

Greed…
It’s not our natural state… it has it’s origins in a belief in ‘lack’.
The very thing the Master teacher, Jesus was talking about in the Sermon on the Mount…

Our need for ‘Greed’ comes down to our lack of trust in our worthiness to be loved as individuals.
Greed arises when we live with the false idea… “there’s not enough”…

Not enough love, not enough time, not enough resources, not enough space…

The gaping world of not enough, breeds the energy of greed…  expressed in every aspect of our world.

This is a BELIEF and has nothing to do with what IS.

There are very rich people who are far more greedy than people that have found themselves to be poverty stricken … this is not a numbers game it is an energy game about contentment, satisfaction and trust.

The practice of GREED is built on the belief that…  “I don’t trust that I have ‘enough’… love, money, space’ etc…. so I manipulate circumstances to my advantage so I can have more than anyone else…. This will keep me safe and make me feel loved!”…
Of course this is not true, but we can make it so if we work hard enough at it!

There is a lot of evidence that the practice of ‘greed’ is at the heart of our world challenges today…

As a global race we must refocus our attention to:

“WHAT GENUINELY SUPPORTS PEOPLE TO HAVE A WORTHY, COMFORTABLE LIFE”…
rather than “WHAT SUPPORTS THE FEW TO MAKE THE MOST PROFIT FROM THE MANY… AT THE COST OF COMMUNITY WELL BEING.” …

I often find myself pondering this shift in conscious direction we must take as a global nation.

Things are changing…

My prayer is…

“May we each live a life, filled with joy and creativity… Certain of the Love of the Divine…
Ready every moment and willing to “receive unlimited wealth for infinite possibilities…
Right now!”

To give abundantly and receive abundantly on a daily basis is within the natural order of life on earth… the minute we stop interfering and get out of the way… we are available for miracles, the miracle of Balance, Trust and Love in a fine harmony, called healthy community….

I’m ready… are you?

Have you heard of Findhorn?

…an alternative community living in Scotland in the 70’s who activated the earth spirits to help them in their gardening pursuits in the snow…. Ultimately surprising everyone by growing 70 pound cabbages in the freezing fields…
A very similar thing is happening here in Hawaii….

There is little rain, strong winds and not much earth… despite this my garden has taken on a new and amazing personality… growing everything in rapid time with ‘amazing grace’ …

The Fig tree is one of the most touching… a gift from a friend a few months ago it stands only about 8” or 20cms tall. This little tree has been through the wars… so small it has often been trodden upon by ignorant bystanders and even sometimes by well meaning friends who simply didn’t notice it…. No matter what I said or did it seemed to always be ‘in the way’…. So I moved it to the place I felt it would be safe from ‘helpful’ feet… not far from the Mermaid sculpture, in the front by the entrance to the meditation space… I asked the fairies and earth spirits to take good care of it and then I ‘let it be’… for the past 2 weeks I have not thought of it….

Until yesterday, when I had some friends over from the mainland and I was showing them our progress… all the amazing miracles in the garden… and then there it was…. The fig tree standing proud and strong, with one leaf and one fig the size of a large grape… and growing!
It gave me hope for all of us… it showed me once again that miracles happen and we are designed to survive and succeed… with enough rest and recovery time anything is possible….

It’s a miracle… true evidence of Divine Intent…
I believe it is indeed a symbol of our power to re-grow and change our ‘m.o.’ in service to the earth and her people…. When all else fails remember the fig tree… we all have the power to bear fruit and be of service to each other… now it is time to exercise that power in service to our world

I had a wonderful teacher once who would often say…’when the mind chatters, make the body work” for this reason I am focusing my energy on building a temple for ‘The Divine Mother of all Creation’ and an associated food garden and soup kitchen for the poor of the district of Ka’u on the southern tip of the Big Island of Hawaii.
I know from personal experience …. When all else fails, if you have the opportunity to wash your body, meditate in a clean, dry, safe place, eat a warm meal and have the experience of someone caring…. You can survive and ultimately succeed against the odds. I want to provide that for my local community here in Hawaii… just as I did for that Fig Tree!

Through the ‘bush telegraph’ we are hearing horror stories everyday… eye witness accounts on the mainland where there are tribes of homeless people living in their vehicles… ‘moved along’ by the local community everywhere they go… armed and becoming more frantic and desperate every day… when you have lost everything that ever mattered to you… anarchy is the next evolution. Civil war soon after…

I do not want that to happen in my district here… so I am preparing for the future, with food gardens and meditation rooms…this is what I can do…. what can you do?

Sometimes people see me running around with such excitement they ask me how can I be sure… How can I be so positive about the existence of my Angels and Guides?

My answer is simple.

I have had a number of experiences in this life where I would be dead if it were not for their intervention.

I will tell you of one such occasion so you can judge for yourself.

It was a full moon, we had just moved into a new house in Bungan Beach on Sydney’s North Shore.  A beautiful old building in the style of a Spanish ‘hacienda’, with a big stone fireplace and wide ocean views through big glass windows.

A hot summer evening after midnight,  I was naked as I passed through the moonlight streaming through the living room windows, on my way to the bathroom.

I entered the dark room… half asleep,  it was pitch black, with a damp, earthy smell, being built almost underground.

I reached out for my toothbrush…
I hadn’t put the light on yet…
I knew just where my toothbrush was and I was enjoying the darkness, when out of nowhere… as if someone were shouting inside my head I heard, “put the light on!”…

Quite surprised by this strange instruction…
I stopped for a moment, reconsidered… then thought to myself, ‘I don’t need the light, I know exactly where my toothbrush is and began to reach out again…

“PUT THE LIGHT ON“…the voice screamed at me again, this time with such force that I felt compelled to obey, switching the light on, wondering what was the big deal…

I looked straight at my toothbrush and discovered to my horror… a large, lethal, black, hairy legged Funnel Web Spider was sitting right on top of the bristles!
One bite from one of these babies and you are dead in five minutes!

The recent rain must have forced it out of it’s funnel home in the ground…
Australia has a few of these deadly sorts… we live with them on a regular basis… without incident.

This is quite amazing since the really scary thing about Funnel Web Spiders is… they actually get up on their hind legs and attack when you disturb them rather than scurry away like most reasonable spiders.

When I realized my situation… naked, with a deadly spider within a few inches of my outstretched hand…

I could understand their agitation and the tone of their instruction.

A cold shiver ran through my whole body as I contemplated how close I had come to certain death…

If I didn’t have friends in “the unseen Real”, I wouldn’t be here today to tell this story,  I would have died long ago!

I absolutely know I am protected in order to live out my contract and fulfill my mission… that’s what gives me such confidence in my every day life.

I am unusual…  I don’t have faith… I don’t hope… I have the certain knowledge of my constant support from the unseen real… call them any name you like… they are there all the time…

My ‘other dimensional team’ and we work together to get things done…

There are a number of these strange stories I will share with you in the near future… in the mean time… remember you are never alone, because you are the leader of a team!

So what goes wrong?
Why do I still do stupid things some time and fail on occasion?
The reason for this is simple… the unseen real cannot protect us from ourselves!
For instance, if I was not in a receptive state and didn’t hear them as they yelled at me to ‘put the light on’…  they could not have helped me any further… we are still ultimately responsible in the third dimension for ourselves… they can only turn up and wait for instruction…. or in this case, give instruction!

Breathe, let go and balance yourself… this is a good beginning to any day and the only way to solve a problem or make a positive difference in your life… when you relax and find the stillness inside yourself, you are far more likely to hear your ‘cheer squad’ and your ‘advisory committee’… because your inside chatter has calmed down.

Open your heart and your mind… learn to stop ‘thinking, thinking, thinking… and agree to ‘be in the moment’, open to all possibilities… relaxed and sure you are loved by God and all those from all dimensions who are part of your purpose and working with you… not as a great service to you… but in service to their own evolution… because you see…

The Angels, Guides and others who work with us, evolve and grow through service in our dimension… to our evolution… without us, they wouldn’t have a job!

So you see, it’s a two way street, where everyone can win… because after all, we know the God Force is not wasteful and does things with surprising economy and swiftness.

We are all sparks from The Divine Flame… playing out our time on earth for the purpose of discovering joy, learning to love our fellow man and give up judgment on ourselves and each other….

Because the greater truth is… if you are in judgment on anything… you have become part of the problem!

Be free.

Give up judgment and fear of abandonment…

Breathe with focused intent and find your inner balance… when you are in a balance, whatever your problem… the answer is within 50ft…  to be sure… the light switch was a lot closer than that!

Hi everyone, how are things in your life?
As far as I can tell, everyone I know is seriously challenged.

There is a lot of talk about ‘recovery’ and ‘investment packages’ by the governments of the world.

But is that really what we want?

For it to go back to how it was?… as a global culture over the last fifty years we have been using up natural resources at an astronomical rate!
That’s what’s really happening.

We have come to a point of global reckoning …
I believe that’s what’s reflected from this economic meltdown… We would not change our ways unless we hit the wall like this as a planet!  Unless you are ready to join the military, there may be no job security in the future….yikes!

And the promotion for the military is all over the media….
It’s a new world — forcing us all into a new perception and that’s not such a bad thing.

It’s time to give up the idea of redundant, disposable living!

That’s a way of seeing resources as endless,  so there is no need to be conservative or respectful of  those you are using. This is a frequency of being that has permeated our world to the extent that we do this to our old people as much as our old cars….

We live in a world dedicated to obsolescence in order to stimulate industry and we cannot keep doing this anymore!

My jewelry falls into the category of a luxury item, however I would like you to know we make our jewelry in very conservative, respectful way.

We are very conscious of our carbon footprint and I am proud of my team for their loving, caring energy that goes into every part of the production and distribution of my pieces.

Each piece is designed to rejuvenate your energy, inspire your spirit and remind you in hard times that you are really a Queen or King in service to your people.

Every conscious person on earth has to be diligent. We have all been lulled into the idea of comfort and convenience being our primary agenda when life is so much more.

Life must be full of other things like  passion, creativity, adventure, evolution…

None of these pursuits are particularly comfortable or convenient but they are the essence of a healthy life.

Perhaps this is why people are so depressed?
They are comfortable and isolated…

Unsupported in their creativity or in expressing their passionate soul.

The world is in chaos…

Lately I have been contemplating the entirely human quality known as ’sympathy.’

No other creature on earth has the evolutionary development to express such a frequency of being.

Sympathy… is it good or bad to be sympathetic?

Something to consider…
There are a couple of related qualities: ‘sympathy‘ and ‘empathy’. To have ‘empathy’… to be empathetic is to feel as if you have ‘walked a mile in someone’s shoes’ … you are acknowledging the feelings or experiences of another.
Whereas ’sympathy’ has an inbuilt quality of superiority attached to the action of giving ’sympathy’ or being sympathetic. You do not speak about sharing sympathy… one gives while the other receives… indicating an inherent lack of equality in the exchange.

I have met many people who play ‘the sympathy card’ to get by in life. (Make no mistake… it’s a manipulation). There are some who play it brilliantly. Not like a violin but rather, like a full orchestra… with breathtaking skill and some others can use it with the power of a sociopath.

For those of you who don’t know exactly what a ’sociopath’ is, it’s someone who feels none of the normal rules of human interaction apply to them (because they feel that their story is the most miserable of all and no one will ever understand their pain etc… and so on…). In their version of reality, there is the underlying beliefe that everyone has had it better than them so the “general public” is fair game…everyone can be used for their own ends with no sense of responsibility, gratitude or appreciation…or reciprocation.
