Miracles from the soup kitchen… feed the world with Shankari…

I have been away from Hawaii for months…
I have a lot of diverse interests and responsibilities.

On my return to the islands I went up to Orchid Parkway for a quick look, to see if everything had survived my absence, before I collapsed into my need for rest.shankari_garden1

I was completely jet lagged and a little delirious from exhaustion that first afternoon as I scurried from the fig tree to the orange trees, Loquat, Avocados and the corn — it was waste high in the center of the first sacred circle I have built on the property… all was well.

I went on down the hill, home to my place, to finally have a good rest.

Today I finally returned to begin to work once more on my vision for a sacred garden and a soup kitchen set up in service to the local community.
When I arrived, I was astounded to discover that while I have been traveling and agonizing over the fate of the world… the sweet corn was growing! This is a miracle!

The corn is growing in about 3 inches of earth on a lava slab in the desert of Ka’u County Hawaii.
This doesn’t sound amazing but think of the miracle that happens every time you plant a seed of any sort!

The sweet corn is laden with ‘ears’ — which is an interesting metaphor under the circumstances… and these ears are as sweet as you have ever tasted!

Metaphorically the work of feeding the community has already begun… the builders told me they have been happily eating from the source since I have been gone… in service to the community… does mean everyone!shankari_garden2

I am sooo excited by the project… and willing to share the dream with whoever comes my way and wants to contribute with love and compassion… I have a dream that the soup we make will be the most delicious and healing soup in the world!

The corn, the figs, the tomatoes… there is evidence I have already enrolled help from the Fairy Kingdom and the Angelic realm… miracles appear every day…

Perhaps you will be my next miracle?

If there is anyone out there who would like to join in the fun please contact Lily here in the Hawaii office at 808 929 7564 or send an email to feedtheworld@shankari.com

I will be happy to do work trade if you want to holiday in Hawaii at the Mystery School and use the gifts and skills God gave you, in service to the greater good… beyond religious persuasion, come along and have some fun with us as we execute a green revolution.

Anyone skilled in perma culture gardening techniques is very warmly welcomed…
I am tired of doing it alone and it’s time to stand up and ask for help.
Please help me… there I have said it!

The balance of light and dark…

Wow…
Doesn’t time just fly by?!
It seems it was only yesterday we were celebrating the Spring Equinox.

This is a very potent time of year because it’s when the energy of nature has reached a pivot point of equilibrium… Night and day are the same length and after that moment the energy begins to recede once again.

It’s a solar event…

The moment when day’s journey reaches the moment of equality with the night…
It’s a marriage of equal yet opposite energy….
A time of change and integration…

Lately I find that I have become a burden unto myself as my fear of the future has made me blind.

Now I understand!

To be blind is to be forced to begin to use your other senses.
To awaken to the whole of yourself and not to focus on the small part that lives in fear of lack.

I am ready…

As I sit here in my garden in Hawaii… it is such a beautiful evening.
I can feel the energy of the Goddess lifting me up…
The stars are so bright I feel inclined to sing to them!
With my imagination I stretch out my hand, take a few and pop then into my mouth.

As I swallow, I actually feel a sparkling effervescence inside traveling down my body and through every cell.
I am filled with stellar energy and ready for the next step…
The equinox when used properly can support your life into great change…

The autumn equinox leads into winter so it is a time where you are naturally contracting and taking stock of your stores for the winter ahead.
A time of preparation for hibernation…
But not forever…
In only six months time everything will change to the reverse position and the energy is awakening and preparing for the joyous nature of summer.
I will be in Bali!

My students and I will have made monsters — Ogoh-Ogohs from bamboo, leaves and jeweled paper…ogoh-ogohs
We will dance in the streets with them… attracting the negative energy that surrounds us, carrying it in a theatrical procession followed by the members of the whole village and what seems to be a hundred screaming children… to the river’s beach… their faces alive with anticipation and adrenaline…

When we reach the bank of the river the monsters will be burned down in preparation for the day of complete silence that follows…
Nyepi
, a sacred event in Bali.
An experience of a lifetime…
The whole island of Bali goes into silence so that they can clear the energy in preparation for the year ahead in gratitude for all the blessings already received.

Come and join me in Bali for the next equinox…
Pray with me and be cleansed by the sacred waters of the crocodile temple…
Meet the wonderful old women that are the priests of this amazing jungle temple and ancient sacred space.
In the coming weeks I will be sharing more information about how you can participate and prepare yourself for the coming journey.

The equinox…
Such a great inspiration!
With mother nature, nothing ever stays the same because to be alive we will always experience the OPPORTUNITY FOR CHANGE
Use it wisely!
How are YOU going? Are you feeling inspired?
Have you found some solutions? How can I help?

Blazing tales of wonder remembering all we have ever been and are about to become.

Creating Abundance

Our greatest challenge on earth today is not global warming or the price of gas… it’s despair! Despair is worse than a physical disease and more debilitating than the weather or politics!
It can be deadly!

Why do we feel despair?

We go into ‘despair’ when we believe in lack… lack of love, lack of food, lack of money, lack of control…

We feel more and more powerless in our daily experience of life… too much debt, not enough love, no freedom…

There is a feeling of spiraling despair that we as Light Workers must be aware of and approach with caution… I sometimes have these feelings myself!
How do we do that?

Recipe for changing despair into hope….

1. Feed your spirit positive information and stimulus…
Music, fragrances, fresh flowers… reminders of Mother Nature and the beauty of the earth… if you look hard there are more happy, positive stories in every area of life, than sad ones…

2. Remember to feed your body good food…
Give your brain a chance to work well and be in service. Not with just sugar and comfort food… it’s time to break out the onions and vinegar!

3. Develop relationships with positive friends…
Let go of the people that express feelings and ideas that bring you down.

4. Be disciplined with your energy and pay attention to the things that inspire you!

Pharmaceutical drugs can NEVER be the answer.

I speak from experience when I say:
‘We must be responsible for our own healing and our own energy’…

The metaphor I like to remember is simple;
Life is just like driving a car.
When you are driving, you must focus your attention on where you want to go and call in all the energies to support your intent… your eyes, ears, hands, feet… your whole body.

Like life… it doesn’t function well if you close your eyes or take your hands of the wheel!
You also can’t spend all your time looking in the rear view mirror… or you will crash!
You cannot spend your time, fussing around, feeling powerless while not looking at the road or steering your vehicle!

You, yourself must take control of your vehicle and your journey.

In order to be successful, you must look at the road, take charge of the steering wheel, then focus your vision and intent on the road up ahead… not directly under the wheels!

Do we continue to agree to a consciousness of lack?
Or… Are we going to hold strong to a consciousness of ‘more than enough for my needs!?

I don’t believe in monopolies…
Or aspire to abundance that makes one person rich and another poor…
I do believe the consciousness of the world is turning…
We must not claim huge abundance!
Why do we need so much more than anyone else?

Surely as Enlightened Beings we understand the process of empowering each other within the flow of available resources so that we can live in peace, wisdom and understanding…

Now, I challenge myself and all of you to describe the road ahead in positive terms.
It’s up to us!

Creating abundance…
Living a stress free, joyful life…
Engaged in what brings us the greatest pleasure.

In this way we really can experience ‘heaven on earth’… and we won’t be alone when we get there, since others will be equally as blessed!

The Wild Couple

I’m sharing this story with you because feel it has a great teaching for me… and perhaps for you. We will always find our way home if we think like a cat!hawaiicat_1

Recently in the district of Ka’u… at the Southern end of The Big Island,  “Teddie’s Safe Haven” has been performing a spaying operation to limit the number of feral cats in the district.

They lend residents traps to catch feral cats on their properties and bring them in for free neutering.

I have become a big fan and am working on ways to support their activities in Hawaii.

Why?

My personal experience…
When I left Hawaii for Bali in March, I had four cats… A lot, but still reasonable for a three acre property. When I returned a few months later I had twelve cats!
I was dumbfounded! How did this happen?
Quite simply!
A Calico colored feral mother had parked herself under my house and happily given birth to six kittens!

She’d brought along the big red feral dad and a black and white friend to keep her company; probably a sister or brother … perhaps they came because they could smell the food my staff diligently left out for my own cats while I was absent. Suddenly, I had a mass population of cats!

What to do?

By now all the kittens had grown to adolescence and were getting ready to repeat the population explosion again and again between themselves. This was an emergency!

I heard about the a local feral cat rescue and spaying program: Yes! Yes! Yes!

Essentially, ‘Feral’ means the cats don’t trust humans, nor look to them for nurturing or to give nurturing… which is indeed a domesticated cat’s true desire and chosen purpose. This spaying program was a big blessing.

I collected eight traps and set to work… in fact it took about nine hours… from 10pm until 7am to catch all but one (the smartest of the lot… I will get him next time!). They were completely feral and not at all happy at being caught; they bashed their cages with their noses until they all had a headache I’m sure… They all still wear the scars!

Once they were “done” I had to decide what to do with so many cats… The majority were showing signs of slowly being more interested in becoming friends and in fact today I can report that most allow me to pat them and come to the sound of my voice. I love cats and am willing to be the mother of a crowd as long as they are not continually reproducing but I certainly didn’t want to release the feral mum and dad — this wild couple,  back onto my home property so the bullying of my own could continue…

They were not friendly… they were scary!
I drove around and around with them… with their cages in the back of my truck, trying to decide where to leave them; decide what would be best for everyone.

It was not until very late in the afternoon, that I decided to release them into my Orchid property. I gave them food and told them I would be back the following day.
I guess they must have started their journey back home soon after…

On the fourth day, they both appeared back at my place five miles down the side of the volcano, having crossed over the highway! At first, I simply didn’t believe it, I thought the dad was just another big red tom cat looking to push his nose in here now the other one was gone…
But when I saw the Calico mother with my own eyes I was convinced and astounded!

These two cats, as a couple, had walked back the five miles from my other place, across the highway… How extraordinary is mother nature?
What made those cats so sure of where their home was?
Did they navigate by smell?… by the stars? … by magnetic resonance?
How… why?!

Why had they chosen my ‘house’ as their ‘home’, uninvited, unwanted, determined felines.
No wonder cats scare people!

A cat never sees difficulties… a brick wall does not stop a cat but rather provides a vantage point… They are so brilliantly aligned with their place in the order of things…
How can a human ever imagine a cat could get lost?

Activate the cat within you and I will activate the cat within me…sphinx

We will trust in our own power to navigate the mysteries of the journey back home and never give up!
Never allowing ourselves to take anything too personally;
Staying disciplined within our mind and not letting ourselves to drown in the water of our emotions…
We will be adamant about what we want and where we belong…
Never taking no for an answer…
Never give up on your quest…
And I will never give up on mine…!

I have come to accept these two wild beings into the family. I believe over time, the big red tom will calm down and become a more loving parent to his offspring. When he had his balls, he was aggressive and competitive; for food and sex! In the future he has the capacity to become more interested in other things. The Calico mother is still the most fearful and makes me think she reflects some part of myself that I have not yet allowed others to come in close contact with.

Angel Cats

Life really is a mystery.

These cats have certainly sent me on a new learning curve… Forever grateful for the lessons, the adventures and the many wonderful friends I ‘ve made along the way.

Cats are one of my blessings, I have been drawing pictures of my kittens all my life. I created a wonderful set of cards called “The Angel Cats of Self Healing”;  all the images are from my drawings,  if you would like to see them online please click here: Angel Cats

The profit from the sale of these cards will go to “Teddie’s Safe Haven” for spaying feral cats in Hawaii.

I’m glad to be of service to such a worthy cause, protecting the native wild life of Hawaii and improving the lives of those cats already born and living in the lava fields of Ka’u County…
Have a great day and remember to purr every now and again. It is so good for the soul!

Helping others

I had one of those moments yesterday when I broke the rules!
The rule in question is the one about not offering help unless you are invited!

Power of BreathIt’s a very hard thing to do and it takes great discipline… To wait to be asked.
Especially if you feel love and concern for your fellow travelers on the journey of life.

Yesterday I blew it!

I walked up to a woman who was in serious emotional pain…
Her forehead was creased and scrunched as she said to me, “I don’t know what you are talking about… I am not angry or hurt…. Just a little sad! ”

She was furious with God… it was so obvious… if it had been a dog it would have bit me!
I quickly apologized for my mistake and agreed with her world view…
Stepping away quickly…
I was ashamed!

Have I learned nothing?
Am I so ignorant and foolish still? Apparently so!

She had good reason to be suffering.
She and her family are Christian Missionaries. I met them at a church meeting in Chiang Mai Thailand. Her husband had been kidnapped by Moslems in Pakistan.

He had been released only a week earlier….
Her husbands kidneys were exhausted and it showed in the dark rings under his eyes.
He was warm and obviously good at his job.

He was willing and interested when I suggested his adrenal system was exhausted and he needed support for his kidney function before he went out to fight that good fight one more time!

He was happy for the info… but his wife lives on that river in Egypt…De. Nile…

And I did not handle my own energy with enough reserve to be of genuine support to her.

I needed to ask her first if she would like my help and humbly accept her answer….

My heart goes out to everyone in dark emotional places because I have been there myself so often…

There is always light and dark….
Our job as genuine light workers is to respect the balance and be of true service to others from a place of genuine compassion and non judgment…

Blazing tales of wonder….. Still learning how to use my energy wisely….
To be continued…
